Maranatha is a Global Christian Organisation with membership from many parts of the world. The church has its head quarters in Crawley West Sussex UK.
In April 2005 Pastors Ruvetsa and Mrs Ruvetsa started pastoring Christians in Crawley, a church of very few members and their families. By then they were using member's houses as churches moving from one house to another. The church quickly grew and Pastor Ruvetsa looked for a new venue which would accommodate the growth. In the same year they were offered a Youth centre by council to use on Sundays which is now proving to be too small for the fast growing church. Other mid week functions are held in Ifield courtesy of the Trinity United Reformed Church which has offered Maranatha their premises.
All this time the pastors have been supported by other founding members of Maranatha namely Elders Mr and Mrs Mashonganyika, Deaconess Ms Tipa, Secretary Mrs Chigora. At present the church has members in excess of 100.
Maranatha Assemblies of God International has been established to "encourage and promote evangelism at the local community level and in the world by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ (i.e. salvation by redemption and forgiveness of sins through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ) To preach and make the name of God known to all nations before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. To develop a strong people in every segment of their lives equipped for the task of building the kingdom of God and relevant to our times.

To Establish and develop a model biblical church for Maranatha Assemblies of God International that can be replicated world wide in order to provide forums for fellowship among Christians of similar faith.
To impact our communities through outreach - Taking Jesus outside the walls of the church.
To develop ministries within the ministry, identifying, equipping and releasing people to effectively fulfil their calling.
To establish schools of the Ministry and its administrative structures approved by the church leadership.
Maranatha Assemblies of God International's vision is based on Mathew 28:19-29 as it is written;
'Go ye into the world and preach the gospel and those who believe baptise them with water in the name of the father, son and the Holy Spirit' Mathew 28:19-29
Maranatha intends to realise this vision by developing people, impacting lives through:
Building a church which affects the nation of the world, a church where people can come to know Jesus in all his fullness, getting equipped and trained to serve HIM. A place designed to minister to the whole person, adopting policies which will deal with spiritual, emotional, physical, social and financial matters of the members.
Encouraging every member to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and body who practically demonstrate this through their faith by praise and worship serving and loving others unconditionally. Being passionate, supporting and strengthening other churches who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and that the Bible the Word of God. Disciplining them to attain maturity and release them into their own fullness of potential and calling. Reaching out to the community: demonstrating the practical love of Jesus Christ, building and strengthening unity amongst the believers
Producing, training new leaders in the house of the Lord. Planting other churches for Maranatha Assemblies of God International, locally nationally and internationally regardless of their social class, status, level of education, race, background and or colour.
Providing a place of healing, restoration and love for those who are indebted, discontented, distressed, misunderstood, frustrated and confused. A place designed for help forgiveness and fresh purpose for living. Always ensuring that relationship is more important than a function in the church. Always making Jesus Christ the centre of everything we do.
